Passion and tradition are the cornerstones of my activity and of the great love I have for my land
The “Villa Antica” (“ancient Villa”) vinery is so called for its ancientness: the Villa was built in the first half of the 19th century. Originally owned by the Faravelli family, in 1900 was bought from the brothers Ernesto and Giuseppe Brandolini. Family tradition and experience are passed down trough generations, just as our passion for vine-making and agricolture. The company now owns over 35 hectares of vineyards: 15 with “guyot” training system and 20 with “casarsa”, with respect of origin and geographic typicality of grape varieties. Our work process is automatized with innovative machinery, using modern wine-making techniques for a better quality, which is our first goal. In our total production, we make 45% of Pinot Nero and Pinot Grigio, 25% of Moscato and 30% of red grapes like Croatina, Barbera and Uva Rara. Great wines are possibile only with great caring in the whole production process from the wineyard, through the harvest and in the farm, succeeding in bottling all the taste and flavors of our best grapes.
Company changes ownership and begins to expand, acquiring new land.
After 2002, which was without a doubt the year with more drought, the direct vinification begins.
Direct vinification continues and the land is further expanded by another 5 hectares.
Growing direct winemaking also increase the labels.
Despite the climatic adversities, the bases are being built for the export of products abroad.
Our wines are distributed in 3 continents: USA, Congo and Burundi.
